| to be honest when i watched the game again saints were very good first 20 mins making line breaks ect but like longy said we wetherd the storm and grow as the game went on. even near the end when saints had penalty after penalty and tansey was sin binned they throw everything at us and played alot of expansive rugby but our defence was exceptional throughout the game and saints started to get fustrated prime example when eatmound give an inside ball to whoever and got caught on the last and there was saints players shouting at eachother ect. just becasue we played well and convincently beat a good saints side dosent mean nowt unless we back it up against a very good giants team. but there was very good signs from the team and everyone as the right to be optimistic for the rest of the season.

| Personally I think its sport and fans should be allowed to celebrate that fantastic performance however they like. Nothing wrong with getting excited, otherwise whats the point in the first place?
I think everybody realises that a season isn't won on one game and we have a long way to go.

Hull FC played them off the park for most of the game and deserve every ounce of credit for beating one of the best teams in the competition on their home turf in style in difficult conditions, imo.
Always amazes me. A team gets a win, the automatic reaction from some always seems to be that the other team were (to use a vastly overused word on these boards) "poor". Does it not occur that the reason they were "poor" was because the other team were so bloody "good"?

We played very well, don't get be wrong, but Saints didn't do themselves any favours, I make it 4 times that when on our line on the last they opted for a "powerplay" that involved a forward driving the ball in.
We dealt with everything they threw at us, but tbh they never looked like scoring when we had 13 men on the pitch and thats not like Saints.

She told me it was 30 seconds!
After the last two seasons the biggest plus for me was our completion rates!!

| How many people gave us a chance of winning against Saints ..Less gave us by the winning score line ..Saints are not a poor team ..They were beaten by a team that wanted the win most Hull pull all the stops out and it was a great game ..Us fans that was there enjoyed the result and we came away happy our view of the game was limited ..but I for one was a happy bunny ..It just wasn't the win it was the way we won the game ..We played some great rugby and we should be proud of the lads for a great effort and 2 great points

| The main reason Saints are seen as playing poorly on saturday is that they were missing an organiser, playmaker. general because for 12 years Sean Long has driven that side to glory after glory. Eastmond and Pryce are not playmakers and unlike Leeds who have Sinfield calling the shots looked directionless. Hull FC on the other hand have not had a playmeker of his class since Peter Stirling and what a difference it makes. In my opinion this squad is vastly superior to the 2005 Cup winning team and the 2006 GF team. Dare to dream and let's give the Giants a pasting on friday

| The Giants will be a test as they too have a big pack and strong defence .
I was overjoyed with the performance on Saturday but we have a way to go yet ..
And,I have to agree with the previous post , we have not had an organiser like Longy since Sterlo ... here's hoping
