i'd say a good 60% of companies in this country owe vat or tax in some form. thats business .

If we're "getting our retaliation in first", then you'd have to assume that there'll be something in the press in the next few days.



Even if we're complying with the agreed payment plan, this sort of publicity is the last thing we need.

then if this is a retaliation should we not go that bit further or are we waiting to counter act with some positive spin its whats required

Maybe this will explain the reason for the statement. There's probably 16,000 similar statements being made as we speak.





Time to Pay tax time bomb looms

FIRMS that have taken advantage of HM Revenue & Customs VAT holiday are being warned to get their business in order before their Time to Pay arrangements come to an end.



According to figures more than 16,000 businesses in Yorkshire have delayed payments through the initiative worth £278m in VAT owed.

It's a shame this was'nt mentioned before I bought shares

That is my first thought, knew of several clubs who had used this to exploit the cap, think Wire were major culprits.

Wigan had to include a statement in their accounts saying they were subject to investigation by the inland revenue, I think at the insistence of their auditors. So they must be one as its a matter of public record.

I got my season tickets on my credit card so hopefully i will be covered when he club goes under.
