Although he is about 30 years old, the way he is playing at the moment with his kicking game etc, he could well be the organiser at halfback that England needs - if he keeps his good form going.

Yes hard maybe but we need a goal kicker who is consistent. Purdo is out for however long, Dorn hasn't been given a chance and Orr has not been getting the goals - fact!

Chris Melling is an excellent goal kicker.

Ive heard this as well so why is he not kicking? I can understand he has stopped practising now that others at Quins have the job, but as they aren't any good at it I would have thought BM would have got him out there practicing.

Probably best for all concerned if it's left that way too!

Who isn't any good at it? Purdham has the club record of 13 in a game, problem is though, any twinges and someone else takes over.

I've not seen a consistent kicker who could kick from anywhere since John Gallagher played for us, kickers of his quality don't come along too often, even the best in SL miss kicks from the sidelines.



Purdham and Melling can (and do) have hamstring and grion strains which are hampering their kicking at the moment.
