| Well as Macca's reign in the purple possibly draws to a close I was thinking who is the best coach in the SL era for us.
Brian Smith gets my vote, started the ball rolling and did much with little talent at his disposal and lots of Big Units
Matt Elliot carried things on nicely and we were unstoppable in 97
Brian Noble in charge of the best ever SL winners in 2003
McNamara allegedly masterminded the only GF win for a team outside the top 2 in 2005

| Hard to tell where one's influence ends and the next's begins. Whatever Caisley's faults, his choice of coaches was inspired - has any other club had a run like Fox, Smith, Elliott, Noble?

| What is Wigan's list? Half the coaches they have had over the years did not even get a chance to do anything. I hear they are already looking for a replacement for Noble's replacement

| Elliott gets my vote, but ask me again in an hour and I might say Smith or Noble.
Its just that we won the league and cup for the first time in my many years of supporting Bradford under Elliott, and I think the team in 2001 that Noble took to grand final glory was assembled by Elliot and in my own personal view that was the best Bradford side I've seen, even better than the unstopable 2003 vintage (by a very very small margin i'll admit)
In fact I'd suggest that each year since 2001 our team each year has been worse than the previous year (but we were talking very small differences in class between 2001 and 2005 so its a very subjective view I admit).. a trend not yet reversed unfortunately....maybe next year....

| NRL spoiler, highlight to read.
=white
Matt Elliott's side are 26-6 down away from home with just over twenty minutes to go... and they've just scored to get back in it. History to repeat itself twelve years (
) on?

I'm computer literate enough to call you a cretin. Matt Elliott for mine.
