Wow although this has been talked about I'm surprised this came out in the sun newspaper.
TBH i can't see him coming back, surely he must be worried whether any other club will touch him with his injury(s)

Signed. Went through pre-season. Played in a friendly (I think?). First proper match (may even have been a friendly still?) did his cruciate IIRC. Club "released" him, and TV, because neither would be fit to play within 6 months and under the terms of the contract the club could do that. Whether we'd have done so had the club not been desperate to free up cap-space for Harris (allegedly) is a separate issue.
That's my approximate recollection, but I suspect others will be able to add some accuracy. |
