There will be a small number of a new Supporters Club fanzine being issued tonight which I believe will be via the “Game On” magazine. The fanzine is free of charge but apologies now if you don’t manage to get a copy, it will be possible for you to get a PDF version if you have an Email address, although don’t put your address directly on the forum. I think if you PM Hillsborough Lad or me or just mail eaglesfanzine@rocketmail.com we’ll get you a copy by the weekend.
The small number of copies is because it’s very much a pilot to test whether people want this type of thing so if anyone does have any feedback it will be welcomed by the Supporters Club.
It’s meant to be informative but also light reading. There is some info about the supporters’ bus to Featherstone and details of other away fixtures.
It sees the return of “Nigel’s Sad Facts” and there is a quiz with slightly easier (just!) questions than posed at the supporters meeting in the Cocked Hat.
If feedback is positive then the plan is to try and get another issue out for the ‘Fax game.
This issue was very much a case of “this is what we’ll do” but for the next one we’ll try and include more of what people tell us they want. |

So do we go for another issue?
I won't be able to do anything for the Halifax game but could do something for the one after.
If anyone wants to try and get something done for Fax then I'm happy for that to happen.
I think we need a couple of proof readers/checkers before is goes out too if anyone wishes to do that?

Nice one, I was hoping to write an article for the fanzine about fans' memorable moments from Sheffield games, they dont have to be the big games like Wembley and the NL2 Grand Final but maybe league games where something good/bad or unusual happened. If you have any drop me a pm

The scoreboard fiasco at Dewsbury, my Dad nearly getting thrown out at Hunslet for clapping Jack Howieson off after breaking some guy's jaw, the other time at Hunslet when Basvibes and HL nearly came to blows with a couple of pensioners, and we were all listening to the Dewsbury v Workington game on radios to see if we still had a chance of winning the league, watching Sheffield United getting relegated on the telly under the stand at the KC stadium  being held off the pitch at Hull KR, the list is endless! |
