In terms of reputation and name, he must be the biggest or up there with them. I'd say it is as high profile as Andrew Johns and in some peoples eyes he is one of the best players to ever play.

Mason will be a pretty decent player I'm sure but I think it's the personality that makes him the big name rather than the on pitch form? Also the expectation from other fans of something happening on the pitch and the reception given by other teams. Throw into the mix his shady disciplinary record and it could be a very interesting year at Rovers for any number of reasons!

But Joey Johns, Allan Langer, Craig Fitzgibbon, Stacy Jones, Matt King, Dallas johnson...IMO they came with a big rep....I do like Willie Mason alot but in all honesty I think his knock out on Fielden only gave him that reputation.

Mason will be remembered for years to come my friend. He has come here on a mission a mission to prove he is not washed up and finished. He has gone out of his way to get clearance to come i.e beers with the king of tonga. He will go down as one of the greats and be a hero to the east stand massive for years to come.
