The Count is hardly likely to come over now when the NRL has been given a massive salary cap increase and the SL can't keep up due to the pension laws...etc that have been imposed by the tax office.



If he did come though it would be a massive signing and I'd be very excited to see him in red and white!

Phelps is good but not good enough to use a quota spot on. Considering we could lose Vella at the end of this season, Clinton could return home too we are going to need some big powerful front rowers and I would hope to sign at least two Southern hemisphere forwards and one English prop for the 2012 season.



I think we can keep Charlie and have him as our FB for a year or two then have Sheriff there. If we go out and sign a FB then I hope we can find one that is able to stop tries like Brisk and Charlie do, not just score them.

Phelps is an injury waiting to happen, not the type of player we normally sign and would hope we wouldn't even consider him as a quota player. We need those slots for props as there are very few English ones out there.



The thought of Cockayne pulling on a rovers shirt again is repugnant. Would make us the laughing stock of SL, I'd rather keep Joel Clinton and play him at FB than see a man who has no respect for our shirt get the number 1 jersey. He's everything Shaun Briscoe isn't.

As a State of origin player would probably want a big salary.

I still think Cockayne is suspect under high balls. He can catch but when he's littered with them as the top sides will do, he has a tendency to crumble. I'd be pretty disappointed if we were prepared to lose Briscoe and not bring in a replacement.

Horne for fullback is a rumour on the other board. And HFC possibly have sufficient pivots for '12 with the signings of Seymour and the lad from Leigh. Fitness would be a concern, but the same is true of Phelps and at least Horne isn't quota.
