My wife is still in hospital yet, and won't be coming home til wednesday at the earliest...but she is feeling abit better tonight, so hopefully, she'll be coming home then (fingers crossed).

I echo this. There's never a good time for things like this to happen but Christmas must be the worst. Best wishes.

yeah, it certainly isn't the best time of the year for it to happen, especially as my wife still has xmas presents to buy (including mine lol

), but to be honest the best xmas present I could possibly receive is to have my wife home & in good health.

I now have my fingers crossed for two young ladies, as I had a phone call about an hour ago telling me that my niece has been taken to hospital in a diabetic coma.

Jeez, you don't want any of this at any time of year but just before christmas is a bit rough mate. Hope she pulls through and is right as rain for chrimbo.......and forever after.

She is out of the coma now, but still quite poorly. The strange thing is that she wasn’t even diagnosed as being diabetic beforehand.

My wife is still in hospital (been in exactly a week now), hoping to bring her home on monday, once the docs are happy enough with her progress.

She's fine now...just getting very, very bored!

She came home today. She is now officially a diabetic and has to go about all the things diabetics have to go about.
