got a couple of mates in Oz, neither of whom are even into rugby league but have heard mention from several of their aussie mates we have signed four 'High profile' aussies (contracts dependent upon gaining a place in superleague of course), the only name mentioned is Darren Lockyer, but according to the grape vine there are another 3.

Also heard the same story from another two people here in the UK who are independent sources, dont live anywhere near each other, dont share any people in common etc etc.

may i add that both my sources on the UK are usually right about these things.

Gareth Ellis? I can't see him coming back to SL at his stage in his career, he's in the form of his life. Wages are higher in the NRL due the higher Salary Cap so I can't see SOC's money bringing any big names over who are still at their peak. More likely to be somebody who is coming to the end of their NRL career and fancies a move to SL. That still gives some brilliant players to choose from though such as Lockyer etc who have been mentioned. I am genuinely really curious/excited to see who you will pick up when you get the nod.

I'm hoping that widnes are the championships Trojan Horse. You will bring SL down from the inside and then Leigh, Widnes, Fax and Fev will reign supreme as the pinnacle of RL, wearing flat caps and drinking bovril. Up the championship!
