I'm not an Agar fan but yes he has. Briscoe, Whiting, Houghton and Tickle have all improved under him as also has Moa from last season.
A few have not such as Hall, Horne, Burnett and Washy.
He also had the forsight to bring in people like Tansey and Turner not to mention Fitz and Ogre.
I think we do need a change of coach and I have stodd by this for a while that said he has improved our league position and he has recruited well. However the rugby has not improved that much although not having Horne/Long playing together does not help that.
He has my support but I feel we need a better coach to take us forward to next level, that said he does not deserve the slagging he is getting on here. Why have the players not taking the same slagging, afterall it was their pityful performance that cost us on Saturday.

Fair analysis.
As I have said before now that the team is nearer the top of the table the critics have shifted to the brand of rugby on offer to gain their Agar pound of flesh instead of last year's slagging based upon league position. I'm not saying that they don't have a point regarding the performance level and attractiveness of play because they do, but credit should be given for the obvious improvement made. Unfortunately for some giving out credit to the club they support is an alien phenomenon. At the start of the season many said that they would settle for top 6 as a good improvement in what was never going to be a one season change from cellar dwellers to champions. Now we're there or thereabouts some are moving the goalposts. Like I say it's far from perfect but for some 4th position appears to be uncomfortably high.

It appears to be a fine line between criticising players and being told that you are "just looking for someone to blame" and it's "fooking laughable".

| If we were at the bottom RA would be attacked for one thing , as we are STILL sat in 4th its his style that gets attacked!!
I can tell you this no one is more disapointed than RA at the display at Wakfield however a season is one game at a time, and there are 6 left before the playoffs so lets back the team as best as possible and then carry out the post mortem as the club will do itself at the end of our season when ever it may be!!
From a personal point of view i think there was a smidge of the crusaders game going on at Wakefield, we expected to win hence we didnt turn up for the game.. Thursday will be different
One match at a time with 6 to go so lets give our full support and push em on to a decent playoff spot

It's not just the Wakey game mate. I'd hope that Agar is seriously disappointed in general with our lack of passing ability, lack of creative ability, lack of a kicking game, lack of defensive linespeed etc and those problems are still there week after week. Sadly i dont think he sees us as having issues in those areas which is where the problem starts.

It's not just the game at the weekend or the Crusaders fixture though is it. There was the shambles against Quins at Murryfield and the non performance at Salford, plus a capitulation away at Huddersfield and we couldn't even muster anything against the Rhinos 2 weeks running (one a challenge cup tie at home!). There have been way to many very poor performances this season just to dismiss them so easily as you have IMO.

no you misunderstand me, i suffered exactly the same watching those matches you mentioned HOWEVER remember the minnows have upset almost every big side this year at some point or other, but i agree the last showing was painful to watch, but lets at this late stage in the season back the lads for 6 more games and the playoffs and then do the post mortem

| We seem to have drifted away from the topic of the thread but there you go.
There's no doubt that as a side we're playing dour, unattractive rugby with many of the players not living up to expectations and previous form. But we're not sitting fourth in the table due to a fluke. I'm as frustrated as anyone at the poor execution of what should be basic skills for these fulltime professionals. Our hands are tied with the injuries we find ourselves with, once again. Our coach makes mystifying decisions on who he has in his first 13, on the bench and how he manages his substitutions. But even after all that, we are fourth in the table. I would much rather see us win badly than not at all.

Someone said that?
The players as a group do deserve criticising, Crusaders, Salford, Quins and now Wakey are all games were we siply did not bother turning up. Yes Agar has to take the blame to an extent but these games have been lost purely down to enthusiasm in the main and that has to come from within as a player.
