Good praise from Agar today for Kent and Aldous?



From a fans point of view how do you think they went?

Thought they went alright. Aldous did a big stint and seemed to run strong, never stopped giving 100%. I heard Agar saying he got there a few hours before the game becuase he was so nervous





Liam did well, ran some good lines and barely missed a tackle. I know he's been waiting for his chance and I hope the club keep him on and play him as much as possible in the 1st team.

at the expense of whom?

Not at expense of anyone, or at least until they are injuried. As I say, as much as possible. Meaning if/when one of our back rowers get injured, I hope he gets his shot in the SL.

Apologies, it read like he was possibly better than someone else, if we want Kent et al to develop then we need to be blending them into the first team now, the club must know the players that aren't in their plans for next season, gradually edge them out and bring the youngsters in.

Kent has been 18th man twice and played 1st team once now, barring Lyne this is the most out of any U20 player. Makes me think Hull are thinking he may be one of the few they want to keep on FT next season.



I can see a few of them getting frustrated soon having been FT for 2 seasons and not getting their chance.

Indeed, I know Dowes has surprised with his start to the season but, realistically, he wont be with us next season, could Aldus do his job, or is he not at that level, and if he isn't, how does he get there without playing?



it's a conundrum

It'sa difficult one with Dowes, looks to me like he's had a rocket up his backside and figured it's either turn it on or bye bye Ewan. He's playing well and making his claim for an extension. But we must try and bring some of the FT U20s into the first team.

if the club keep Dowes again then we show little ambition, I remember Kingy doing this a few times, ripping up trees, getting a new deal, and going back to downing pints.

Agree with you there.

Except Dowes has been a model pro and has always been very consistent in his performances. The difference is over the last month he has found a bit more desire, could be a new contract or the challenge of wanting to get back into the side?
