I'll go with that, I actually think that if Lauaki gets here he will be used as impact prop, Radford as you say to replace Cusack and have Crocker Tickle Manu rotating.
But if Crocker and Lauaki don't get here then use that money on snapping up Lynch and or Burgess. |

i mostly agree but would keep Radders to compliment those strike players.
a top scrum half is the most pressing priority and can really be taken care of in a matter of a couple of weeks if not days with a cash incentive for a club to part with one. |

Now this is the bit I don't understand, from our so called ambitious club.
Not only from a team play point of view, but also from a business point of view.
A top class coach, does not effect any salary cap.
A top class coach will develop and get the best out of the players, saving having to throw big bucks for someone at the end of their best.
A top class coach is best value for money.
A cheap coach is a false economy. |

G Horne isn't good enough imo, however I wouldnt be too annoyed if he iskept as a squad player.
Tickle can stay or go for me, again he's okay but not good enough for a top class team.
Undecided about King and Thacks, on their day they are great but their days are few and far between atm.
I think Motu and Cusack will be leaving anyway, however I would keep Motu if he gets over his injuries properly.
Thorman should go
I really don't know about Hall, maybe keep him and send him out on loan to develop his game and get abit of confidence.
No idea about Reardon yet.
Radford okay to cover back row and prop but shouldnt be starting every week if we are fully fit.'"
Only problem is a goal kicker. Apart from that, it looks excellent. |

If every squad member was out of contract at the end of the season, or each player could easily be offloaded without effecting the salary cap this is how I would see things:
Tony: Keep
Calderwood: keep
Byrne: already gone
Yeaman: keep
Raynor: keep
R.Horne: keep
Thorman: get rid asap
Dowes: keep
Berrigan: keep but on a medium sized wage.
Cusack: keep
Radford: keep
Tickle: get rid. Think hes been very poor this year except Celtic away and I think he was very average in 2008. I seriously feel he is very overrated due to how he performed in his first season
Crocker: not here yet so can't judge
Whiting: keep
Washbrook: keep
Manu: keep
G.Horne: get rid. Didn't rate him when most did last season, and still don't now. He hasn't been terrible but I think we have better squad players than him and feel his wages could be used better elsewhere
Thackray: get rid. His style of play is pleasing on the eye but he rarely adds any impact at all.
King: get rid. I think he is a injury prone, shadow of him former self who only plays well when he is after a new contract.
Houghton: get rid. poorer version of Micky Higham and always will be
Briscoe: keep
Burnett: keep and give a 3 year contract to now
Lee: keep
Hall: keep. when Tony is back, use as starting centre and stop messing him around ffs. He has too much potential to be wasted by Agar
Maloney: keep. and please use him as 3rd choice
Hodgson: not played at 1st grade yet so can't judge
Moa: keep. and play him for longer! I havent seen him look knackered on the field once yet
Reardon. not played yet so hard to judge
Luauki: hasn't arrived yet so can't judge

Paul King -rid of to many chances keeping hold for sake of it imo
Danny Houghton - keep can't see why lee is in front of him
Tom Briscoe - keep class youngster
Mike Burnett -keep solid second rower
Thomas Lee - rid of never make it imo would love to see where he would end up if he left

Dominic Maloney - from what i've seen keep
Josh Hodgson - haven't seen him apart from getting smashed all over in pre season

So out of 27 players you would release 9 and then expect us to sign at least 7 more players (to get an avarage squad size of 25) of their quality or better, all in one off season. It's not at all realistic. |
