Since the majority of the atmosphere is created in the North East and South east corners you can only persume the problem is the central area. Its been hijacked by the Prawn Sarnie Brigade who have snapped up the best reserved seats.



Nothing wrong with this but if we are looking for a reason why there is no atmosphere then here you are.



Now you can either try to make the South Stand the 'Kop' or you take away the 'reserved' seating in the East Stand allowing the people who want to create the atmosphere chance to get more central.

or, and here's an idea, you leave it well enough alone and let the crowd do as they please, what with them being paying customers and it being their right.

...and thats what will happen. Healthier crowds year on year why would the club risk upsetting its passholders?



All i'm saying is if you are looking for a reason why the atmosphere is flat than that for me is the reason.

No, the reason is, as I have stated, the demographic of the crowd has changed completely since the heady days of The Boulevard, many more women, children etc.

Take away the reserved seating and I wouldn't bother getting a pass. Bollox to getting there an hour before kick off just to get a decent seat.



It was only threepenny's at the boulevard who sang anyway, most of the ground didn't, same as most of every ground in the league.



The atmosphere at the KC has had as much to do with the performance of teh team as much as anything else. There have been some great atmosphere's there when we've been doing well.



As stupid as it sounds, a singing block may not be a bad idea as at least it would encourage those who want to sing to sit together and get things going

absolutely right too!! we sit right in the middle of the "sarnie Brigade" as they were called and I recall a lot of folk eating pies!!

tons of singing, kids having a great time , no bother and families enjoying watching a rugby match , maybe I should move my family to the corner and start throwing coins and singing "when i was just a little boy" 50 times every game like a boring scratched record.. NOT!!
