I fine that i need to de-static my sky box once a month by unplugging for ten mins or so. That tends to make me not have any fails. Do you do that?

Call them to cancel your sky subscription. Tell them that you want HD but that you feel that you're being ripped off with the additional charges. Offer to take HD but ask them to install it for free. Tell them that you WILL cancel if you don't get this deal. I still paid the £29 fee but got my account credited with the same ammount (the system didn't allow him to give it to me for nothing so this is how we agreed the deal). He had to go off to the speak to the Manager to get it authorised, or maybe he just read his newspaper for a few minutes but i got the deal i wanted in the end.

just ordered hd and was wondering if they run more wires to set this up as all my wires are behind my walls as we had the house plasterboarded and plastered with the wires all now hidden will this be a problem thanks

If you already have Sky+ there's no change. If you don't, they'll need to run a second lead from the dish to the Sky box.

we havnt got sky+ but weve ordered sky+and hd box combined will this still require an extra wire then?

Yes. You'll enjoy having the Sky+ as much as the HD.

cheers mate just didnt want wires showing thats why we put them behind the plasterboard

But i dont think she'll enjoy having the new wires and the living room re-plastered.
