I still find it odd that some persist with this notion that King gave everything for the cause. FFS the club effectively showed him the door for not being committed enough to train and look after his body in a professional manner.



Paul King may well be a supporter of Hull FC, but as a paid employee he certainly did not give 100% all of the time.

I've looked and can find no mention anywhere of Paul having played for Hull FC for free, I think you're wrong.

not sure it was for free but he defo took a huge paycut when FC were in financial trouble.

The way I look at it he was stood by for long enough to ensure him a testemonial, so I doubt he's out of pocket when everything is taken into account, he may have played for a reduced wage but that isn't the same as playing for free. Having said that anyone booing him on Friday is best described as being "a bit thick", I gave Paul enough aggrevation when he was an FC player (as was my right, as someone who contributed to his wages), he's moved on and FC have moved on, it was done above board and in good faith (like not paying him all at once so he couldn't pi%% it all up against the wall)
