| Quote shauney="shauney"I often sit with my head in my hands at some off the off field antics of the crowd.
Yes - Paul King was his own worst enemy with the booze but he's hardly in the same league as Judas.
Oh, and **that** song. FFS - can't we give it a rest and sing / chant about our own team?'"
That song doesn't bother me, but it could have been sung at better times, ie not when one of their players is down with what appeared to be a serious injury, based on the reactions of players around him. I'm sure that agressive songs aren't what he'd want to hear at that time.

| Quote Mr Incredihull="Mr Incredihull"A player that had a great chance to be a fully fledged international ,gave his all for hull but pi$$ed it up a wall, such a shame but does not deserve booing and is certainly not reject material, hope he does well at wakey'"
If he is not reject material then why was he told that he would not play for us again regardless if he got a new club or not? That tells me he has been REJECTED by the club thus earning him the rightful tag of FC Reject.
I never booed him nor did i chant judas as i was more interested in how our own players were playing.

| Didn't hear any boo's for Kingy - only those for Judas.
Shame on those who booed Kingy - there are very few players who would have stayed at their club no matter what like Kingy. Yes his off the field drinking was his eventual downfall but no-one can question where his loyalty well and truly laid.

| Always been a big fan of Kingy, shame he always put Charleston club before Hull Fc as a club. Was only saying the other day that I was reading Kingys testimonial programme and it had little write ups from past and present players and funnily enough most of them mention the boozing before the rugby, shame really could quite easily be an international forward even maybe now if he'd of been abit more commited. To all the morons booing him, give your head a bang, he always gave nothing but 100% for us...Good luck at Wakey Kingy, and get on the tradmill your looking abit chubby ha ha ha

100% loyal to Hull FC as a club in terms of not wanting to go anywhere else I
accept, 100% commited in terms of his on-pitch performances he certainly wasn't.
I don't dislike Kingy at all, I was just pointing out the massive inconsistencies in that poster's comment, how can he have put the Charleston before FC yet at the same time never have given the club less than 100%....

| Quote hull_lad01="hull_lad01"Why on earth were some idiots in the South Stand booing him
These nuggets need a lesson in why he's at Wakey.
I really feel for Paul, yeah he could be his own worst enemy at times and not do the right thing off the pitch to help his own corner but he didn't deserve that last night.
[size=150Don't forget he played for nothing when we were at our lowest [/sizeand you tell me anyone that would do that in any job. He loves his boyhood club and his boyhood club turned their backs on him, not the other way round.
Great to see you back at the KC last night Paul and good luck for the rest of your career.
'"
Well, thats the first time thats been banded about on here.
Personally I think you have made that up. NO BODY in professional sport turns out for nothing.
I still find it odd that some persist with this notion that King gave everything for the cause. FFS the club effectively showed him the door for not being committed enough to train and look after his body in a professional manner.
Paul King may well be a supporter of Hull FC, but as a paid employee he certainly did not give 100% all of the time.
