The improvement came directly after Berro kicked a 40-20 and we seemed to raise our intensity. Personally dont think it was down to a positional change, thought we just seemed to lift as a team and the crowd did too.

We started to play with enthusiasm, we lost the game due to being out enthused for the previous 50 mins.

And with the enthusiasm we started to offload and play a bit more expansively. We still only created 2 tries in the last 25 mins for all that extra enthusiasm.



Why cant we be enthusiastic from minute 1? Im pretty sure 17 players dont decide jointly to go out there and be lethargic. Its all down to preperation and practice which sits with the coach.

If professional rugby players can not motivate THEMSELVES for a game such as a local derby they should not be playing. The coach should not need to do a thing before a game like that! Especially with so many local lads in our ranks last week.

It wasn't just enthusiasm. Even during our purple patch it was clear that we just don't have the skills (passing, catching, line running) to play expansive rugby. Otherwise we would have scored at least a couple of tries with the position and possession we had. Instead we constantly spilled the ball or took the wrong option.

That and the fact that Rovers had a centre who could hardly walk stood next to Dobson - who shoud have been a defensive spot anyway suggests we have the dumbest team around....and a coach who obviously doesnt want to tell them what to do!
