World of difference between coaching RL and RU.

Edwards and Offiah cant be compared, firstly Edwards is currently coaching at national level. In their playing days Edwards was a complete general on and off the field, Offiah put his head back and ran like Forest Gump. Where is Offiah's credentials for coaching a SL club

I would agree if we were talking about Clive Woodward or Martin Johnson. However, I don't suppose there's too much Edwards doesn't know about RL, what with him having played the odd game.

Andy Farrell maybe ? if we are talking about the 'dark side' ?

The game has changed a hell of a lot over the last 10 years that he has been out of it. He just is not someone who we can afford to take a risk on, he may well turn out to be a great coach but I would much rather we got someone with a good track record in RL than someone who would be classed as a gamble.

He is a born leader who is currently coaching at national level, when he played he led from on the field and off. He could have played at 1,2,5,6,7,9 in any team of that time he was that good. Offiah was very good at the one job he could do

Been away from league for too long.The game has changed since he was last involved.

He's also a pioneer of coaching techniques.



He'll still be studying rl, he adopts some tactics in ru.



But like Paul says we can't afford him.

Imo Edwards has too much of an ego for our club, it's obvious we don't employ people with the ability to make decisions of their own without interference from elsewhere.
