BBC coverage is poor, can never understand why Clare Balding gets the gig and always, but always they wheel out Jonathan Davies.

Clair Balding is great, at least she shows genuine enthusiasm for the game.

think the bbc doesn't do rugby league any justice at all. Poor presentation, poor commentary(nothing against Ray French). Seems to give it the cloth cap image, if you know what i mean.Its about time that they moved on and give it a massive revamp and do the sport justice. Find it quite embarrasing really to watch and listen to on the bbc, but if thats the best they can do, perhaps the rugby league headquarters should look elsewere and do the sport that we call the best in the world, justice. What do you think??

The BBC might not be the best overall coverage but the point is its free to air and therefore offers our annual spectacle (our FA Cup) to the widest possible audience. How can this be bad for the game as the profile it receives will not be bettered by moving to premium TV. Remember that a good proportion of RL supporters are elderly and either don't or can't afford premium TV channels why deny them the opportunity to see the game?



Finally how much credence do you think Sky would give to the Challenge Cup given their bias to the Grand Final that has no heritage, nor the romance or true appeal to all levels of the professional and amateur RL that the Challenge Cup has.



Keep it on the BBC for me despite all of their flaws, publicity and access for all.

I agree with free to air TV. On saying that, I do hate the Beeb's coverage of big matches, especially Ray French: He's stereotypically cloth capped with an antiquated outlook, constantly harking back to “his day” Bumbling his way through the game, also some of the camera angles are absolutely atrocious. If the game wants to move on, then it needs to find a more dynamic and modern format with someone presenting who is ‘in touch’ with today’s game-Imo.
