Sometimes the game goes beyond the point of a momentum switch being possible and you get a runaway train scenario.

When it was Sandercock and 6-84, I thought we needed to look at the bigger picture - including that horrible blot on the landscape but not focussing on it exclusively.

Most SL clubs' record defeats have come in the summer and 4 points for a try era (Saints getting battered by Wire in 1912 or something like that being about the only exception), so as with our new record, I think this maybe over emphasises the trauma.

Nope, but one was a game in the middle of a group of hard games that for whatever reason the coach decided to rest half his team and ultimately throw the game, this backfired as the record score was a bigger issue than the actual inevitable defeat. (and our defence is widely recognised as gash at the best of times.



Last night on the other hand has been coming, Hull have put in some terrible displays buit got away with them due to being against poor oppo or the conditions assisting, last night your rubbish display coincided with a wounded Huddersfiled clicking well early on, tbf it could have been worse.

I'm not calling for anyone to be sacked.

At present what are genuine options for the club? Who is out there that could change the fortunes on the field?

Personally my preference would be for AP to sit down with PG & coaching staff and tell them they've got until the 10th game to show they are capable of doing the job expected. Also have a serious word with the players who are here next year and took part in last nights debacle and leave them in no uncertain terms that repeats of performances like last nights and others like that from this season will not be tolerated.



Changing the coach now I feel will achieve nothing as the recruitment is already underway so we would face another 2 years of transition.



The coach can be blamed for many things but last night was down to a lot of players not putting any effort in. Yes Huddersfield were good but against the crap served up by so called pro players last night even a championship side would have put a score on us.



Now is not the time for knee jerks but contemplation & renewed focus & learn from this to ensure it doesn't happen again
