I guess I just get fed up with those who rate Hall describing anyone who does not rate him as 'slagging' him or 'using him as a scapegoat' or any of the other 'casual uses of language' that they come out with. I don't think Hall is responsible for everything that is wrong with Hull FC, I don't think he's a bad player. I just don't think he's cut out for the top of the Super League. It muddies the waters somewhat when posters make sweeping generalisation about people 'slagging Hall off again' or whatever, because most of us who don't rate him don't slag him off either.



And it's not like you to make throwaway comments about no one in particular. If you say something, it's usually considered. Your posts on this subject, however, make you seem a little like an educated, literate version of bigcjlchris (or whatever his name is). Without the threats of violence, of course.

I would have a few quid on Hall being our top try scorer per minutes on the pitch ratio of the last 20 years so he must be doing something right,

depends what the club are looking for in a centre, the try scorer or the defensive centre like Sid was as an example, its very rare that you find a centre who has it all without looking to Quota spots and i think we should count ourselves lucky we have a young player with his ability to cross the line.

And for the record, I get equally fed up with anyone who disagrees with some of the criticism of Hall being characterised as a 'fan' and somehow rating him as international standard.

whoever he signs for will be getting a young fella with a proven ability offensively and potential to become a great player but for what ever reason it has not been often enough at FC.

He isnt international class by a long long way but in a new environment who knows!!

No one knows yet, the term "who ever he signs for" could include us but i feel he will go and at the end of the day some have to go to make way !!

IMO ( as that's what these sites are supposed to be ) I have my doubts over keeping hall. Can't doubt his ability in attack, yet his defence is woeful. But for me to single hall out for this would be pathetic really. Yeah so his defending is crap but just as an example Tansey has a habit of going into tackles standing upright, which gives the upper hand to the attacker as he has momentum going into the challenge. I have nothing against Tansey as I think he is an outstanding player but is a fault in his game. We have conceded a few tries this year through this IMO. So I aint gonna get on halls back and I personally hope he stays, but if he leaves maybe its in his best interest.

I take my hat off to you, sir. I consider myself to be pretty handy in the pedantry and semantic nit-pickery arena but I must acknowledge a superior practitioner of the arts in your good self.
