Is apparently available if/when Souths sign Crocker. He started as a scrum half but plays stand off and hooker too. Worth a punt?

His name's come up before but folk who follow the NRL have said that he's not the type of half we need IIRC.

no chance im afraid, as he is on mega-bucks at souths. granted he's lost alot of cash investing his money in property in vanuatu but i cant see him over in the uk just yet...end of season maybe... but if he came available then he would defo be worth a punt....had afew shoulder injuries of late, due to a "chicken wing" tackle in the very first game of the season dislocated his shoulder...but class all the same

On recent form...I would take him. on the back that I dont think crocker will come.
He has got Souths outta troble a few times this season according to their forum....Definatley a better Halfback option than current!
Plz Hull Board.......look at Halfbacks and spend!! We look the poorest side in SL at times!

Wing for me has always been an impact dummy half runner, like Roby/Higham but far better quality. I always thought he was superb at what he did but I am not sure how he fits in with us. He can do a job at 7 and will be better than what we have but I am not sure he is our answer to the SH problem.

I think he started as a hooker, virtually played his whole career there while at Roosters although has played a little in the half back roles while at Roosters. I know he plays more at SO/HB now at Souths but I don't think we should look to sign him. |

I agree to some extent but he can definitely play a bit of football as well as scooting. I'd argue that we need a 6 and a 7 so he'd be ideal alongside a full on distributor. My only gripe is his age, as I'm not keen on us signing 30 or 30+ year olds. |

I take your point about him being okay at 6/7 but I personally would not sign him unless we needed a hooker, which we don't. |
