It wouldn't be wise to release Cust unless we had suitable cover in the halves regardless of him being a quota player or not. That's what he was signed for and he has proven invaluable since the departure of Abdul. Would we prefer a better player using that quota place? Of course but that's why it's called a rebuild, not a magic wand. I think we are so far ahead of anyone's expectations both on and off the field at this point that we just need to catch our breath and keep our feet on the ground.

Pryce is a marquee player anyway so it doesn't matter what he earns cap wise

 Admittedly they could be kr fans..
Anyway
As we know pryce can play 1&6.Only Welsby and Lewis can arguably match his quality and pace.
Lewis has developed not only because of peters but because he’s playing behind a dominant pack.
Welsby has done little this season so far because saints are struggling.
Think someone mentioned he’s raw ?
But he’s had 2 years in the nrl in top quality environments.
Welsby and Lewis haven’t had that experience.
