Quite the opposite in my opinion. In past seasons, we've COMPLETELY missed the point.



The club have run offers for games such as Quins, Crusaders, and Catalans, 3 teams where no matter how cheap the entrance is, you're only going to get a small coach load from said clubs. A half price ticket isn't going to attract 2000 Quins fans is it?! You could slash entry to a quid and you'd still only get a hand full of Catalans fans! We've been pinning our hopes on getting as many Wakefield fans as possible to these games, most of whom would be coming anyway but due to these 'great' offers, are only paying half the gate.



Don't you think that we would be better running these offers for home games against say Leeds and Castleford where there is a massive opportunity to get a full house? A half price ticket versus Quins might scrape us a gate of 4000, maybe 4500 on a sunny day, a half price ticket versus Leeds or Cas would more than likely get us 9000/10000.



It's not rocket science.

We would expect anything between 7000-8000 for the Leeds and Cas home games.



Half price with these games would top that upto at least 10,000 IMO.



Plus the forecast for this Sunday is warm and sunny !!!

Correct. Half price tickets to a game you were already going to see is a bonus and saves you money. Half price tickets to a game you might not have bothered going to see save you money, and give money to the club it wouldn't have had.

the best boost i have seen to promote the poor attended games ie london wales catalan where the xfactor contestants say what you like about them i think we got 8000 at the wales game we even got correct me if i am wrong 4000 to the fun day when stavro flatly was on think the flat cap image should go out of the window advertising on tv shows a positive side to the club and the game grate step forwad MR G TWAS

I was at the Cronulla Sharks vs St George game last night when it rained incessently at times obscuring the view because of the intensity of the rain... but it did not drop below 25 degrees all evening!!!

ridings fm has tigers tuesday and gives away a family pass to the game on fridays they dosomething similar for fev why not wildcat wednesday?

They've done it a few times last year, never won tickets! Up to the club to make contact maybe?

Personally I think it's more important to get cash into the club, but in a day and age where the future of the club in Super League depends on how good the baby changing facilities are and whether or not there's soap in the gents, getting bodies through the gates is equally as important.

Lets hope the phone starts ringing and they are manned.
