I think Mellars is too expensive for the type of squad we'll be fielding next season; unfortunately, that also means he's probably too expensive for another club to buy out his contract on terms that he finds agreeable.

Vainakolo at his age on the wing would be better than Mellars now. I'd play him at prop and let him make the hard yards.
