Jeffires played reasonably well yesterday. He was looking for gaps and runners, esp in the 2nd half

i think korki, king, hendo, murph and maybe jd gave 100% sunday. they were let down by the rest who seemed to lack aggression and enthusiasm. tronc was a disgrace, could hardly be called a professional sportsman. him aside ,the forwards have been pretty solid this season. i'd say this week we should see gledhill, davey, hyde and morton. let those that want to play, play and those that don't p off

I've said before that I think we need a name signing to give this season a lift and bring people to the game, now that 3 of our few crowd pullers/pleasers have departed. But it also depends on who's available. No point chucking whatever money you're no longer shelling out on some big name signings on someone who doesn't fit the bill. In those circumstances, I'd sooner we saved what we have and got someone decent in at a later stage, or next season, even if that means relying on a lot of the youngsters to see us through. These lads have never let us down in the past.
