PopTart:
And if Rourke in centre we don't have a stand off.
Ultimately Rourke is still learning.
When Trueman is back it's between Rourke and Max for the 1.
You don't just shoehorn one in to another position. Our centres have been great this year, including Scott.
Scott has been great in one game last week at centre. He was underwhelming for the other games earlier in season and lost out to Hall and Pratt as a result.
He played well in second row when asked which I think watching him 2024 at Hull is his strongest position right SR.
That said last week was promising at centre and it’s his turn to try keep Pratt out now. It’s a good place to be in.
Agree once Trueman is fit or even Russell gets match fitness they will start at 6 over Max. Max will move back to 1 and Rourke will have to try compete with Max like you say. A tall order with Max been integral to the spine.
I can see why Powell and the coaches are training Rourke up at wing and centre. It only increases his opportunities of making the 17. I thought he went well in pre season on the wing when he scored a nice try too.
Opportunities will come no doubt for Rourke. We are blessed to have two very good fullbacks.
