You would have cracked if the S men would of brought the game back to a six point deficit at the point and you know it. I have no issues that Wigan were the far better side from the first whistle but Gansons leniency at that crucial point of the game was pivotal.

| Wigan 100% deserved to win.
Saints were poor only as a result of the way we played.
Ganson was a non issue to the result of the game.
This thread really is pathetic.

Right............
Stains were battered. There is nothing the ref could have done for them.
Stains - the biggest bottlers since Carlsberg............

| Quote JLM23="JLM23"We were hammered because you were the better team on the day, you outfought and out enthused us all over the pitch. The Kicking game was spot on, and the way you got amongst our attack was excellent. It was a well deserved win. Yes, I believe your players attitude was much better, your players got on with it instead of crying and whinging about the game attacked it with vigour. As for our key players being too old well, time will tell, what I will say is they didn't look too old when beating Leeds at Leeds in the cup, as I have said you were the better team on this day and were clear and convincing winners. However, it was 1 game in a long season, and if we go on to win the Grand Final it will be forgotten about. Infact for that matter, if you come to Knowsley Road and we hammer you, I have no doubt that you will be calling for Nobles head and blaming the salary cap for everything once again. As for the little scouse "insult" Jukesays and 21-12 will tell you it really doesn't bother me, but if it makes you happy go on with it.'"
You haven't done that for the last 2 years and that's when you were the standout side. What makes you think that you can do it this year?
Still at least you can tell yourselves the "League Leaders trophy" is a major honour eh? Don't forget the "BBC Floodlight trophy" while your at it...................

If we'd have been beaten 38-18 in that manner after being out of it at halftime and then even further behind after 50 mins and then the opposition team taking their foot off the gas to give the scoreline an ounce of respectability i'd have had it down as a battering tbh.
You we're battered.

| I've watched the game again and thought he did fine to honest.
My only gripes are his decisions to refer every almost certain try to the video ref, apart from Fekas, which was also try.

You mean ginger top mentioned it and you all followed like a bunch of loved up sheep.
Every other club embraced the weekend and showed another part of the UK the greatest game in the world. Unfortunately Saints didnt just let themeselves down with an unprofessional attitude, they let the SL competition down.

Some of us it does bother. I'm St Helens born and bred but have lived in Liverpool for 20 years. My children are scousers and all of my friends are scousers - and none of them are bad. Like most reasonable and well adjusted people the world over. Wherever you go there will be a perception of badness - Parr and Beth Avenue, Worsley Mesnes - the list is endless.

| Quote St_Maca="St_Maca"The turning point of the game was actually Ganson allowing you to get away with having ten men stood in an offside position. Long scored to make the game 18-6 Saints then got the roll on, made the break and were held up on the line on the fifth. Around about ten wigan players were stood offside round the play the ball area yet Ganson let it go and called turnover.'"
Give over! The biggest 'clutching at straws' I've ever read on here..and that's saying something!
