The local pitches don't have any stands, so therefore the sun can get to them. That is not the case at the HJ.

Yesterday at Orrell for the U20's friendly game, 10 metres along the South side was frozen, so they had to move the touchline in on that side for the game to be played.

I can still make it on wednesday just. I only finish work at 8 but work about 5 minutes from the ground. I'd guess I would be able to get in about 5 past 8 via a late turnstile?

Can't get there on Wednesday, was thinking about going but the last train back to Stafford leaves at 9:39.

Sometimes with friendlies they only play 30 or 35 mins each way.

If you left the ground at 9.25 you'd get the train from BQ anyway!

You'd be sweating trying to get to Bank Quay for a train in 14 minutes from the ground.
