The younger generation associate Entry of the Gladiators with clown music which is why it doesn't have the same effect these days, but the 'older guard' who remember the 60s/70s (not me but my Mum and uncles etc) remember it as a common RL entrance tune

that is quite possibly the worst excuse for a tune I've ever heard in my life. Its bad enough that someone wrote it but of all the potentially decent entrance tunes in the world the fact that this particular tune was picked takes the biscuit if you ask me. If there's any truth in the argument that music can affect people's behaviour then all the Wire players would be leading with the forearm, trying to decapitate the opposition with swinging arms and choking the life out of them with grapple tackles on the ground... Of course that's just a wild theory which I don't believe for one second along with the theory they played it in the dressing room at the DW a couple of weeks back. Lol |

I remember at Central Park we once came out to Graveyard Symphony (the entrance music of The Undertaker) and the theme from Mission Impossible.
I like the Gladiator theme we use now but think we could also go with 'The Battle' which is quite good as an entrance song. (start from around 5 mins) www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgARus5JFQY |
