The feeling of being back where we belong has not sunk in yet. We where brilliant last night and if we defend like that we will have no worries next week.



Next saturday is our day!

We're going to do it. I genuinely feel that. I've been through all the what's, if's and maybe's surrounding the Keiron Cunnigham retirement and 'fairytale ending'. Then again, why can't it be a fairytale ending for Feka and the rest who are leaving?

as is always said form etc goes out the window for a derby and i think you put there previous losses in with that too

That really is the thing when it comes to Wigan vs Saints. Wigan could be destroying everyone in site and Saints could be struggling, or vice-versa, but the out of sorts side could end up stuffing the in form one.



Not to say that there will be a clear winner next Saturday, I reckon we're in for a very, very close game. What I'm saying is derby's are charged on extremely high emotion, and anything can happen.

I know, neither can I. It just seems like such a long way off





This game just means so much more than other finals I have been to. As a teenager in the 90's I went to that many finals at Wembley etc and Wigan won so many league titles that I just took it all for granted thinking it would never end and frankly it all got a little stale and boring. Although they were still good they just seemed like normal events, particulalry towards the end of the glory years, and just dont seem half as special as this.

I can understand all the comments especially those by famous. My children now 30 and 26 were brought up on Wigan will win and even now my son (the 30 year old) and season ticket holder since he was 8 still says every match that we will stuff them.



We are where we should be and irrespective of the result next week this season WIGAN have performed each and every match (although my wife had to calm me last night) as against last few years years when we played for 40 minutes when we felt like it.



Next week who knows but I think next season with the existing players and the additional ones we will be light years ahead. I really hope this does not come back to bite me on the bum or else where.
