Yeah but there's the younger generation (you) then there's the younger generation....i.e. Five. It seems these are the ones who like the tag.

I don't think they would see a difference.



If we begin to use it more and it works then I am all for it, but we don't even seem to use the tag 'Warrior'.

The five year olds would probably like the players to dish out ice creams at half time and for lenaghan to sign miley cyrus and the teletubbies too.



Each to their own i say, but one thing that does annoy me is how the media refer to us as the warriors and latics as wigan. it's even started to creep in to the town.

I don't mind to be honest.



At the moment the majority of our supporters are shall we say "the older" generation and the club are trying to do more to attract younger supporters. So for that reason I think the Warriors tag should stick.

Which just goes to show that he, their fans, their position in football is just a sham. Sham's like this take very little to split apart like a stack of cards.

On CockneyLiar, they're already in revolt, most expecting expected less than 10,000 for the visit of Fulham in a few week's.

Unlike Wigan RLFC when their backs were against the wall in 2006, our attendances increased significantly. Ultimately our average shot to over 16K, well over any average throughout our successful period in the 80's & 90's.



However like vermin, their lot (apart from a few thousand) will scuttle off back under their rocks should their poor run of form continue, and soon you will see nice Shiny LFC and MUFC shirts worn throughout the town again.

I would love to see a really low crowd for that game against Fulham. They get so much away support throughout the year and fans who go from other clubs just because its cheap. I actually feel sorry for their hardcore fans who are true supporters of the club.
