| Probably just another Swanson/Barker dreamed up story.
Sale are going nowhere, no crowds, losing money like you wouldn't believe and depend on Kennedy more and more each year.
It would just need Pat to get his leg stamped on whilst on the ground in some stupid ruck or "breakdown" and he'd be off for another six months.
To go for this Ian Lenagan would have to have a senior moment of gigantic proportions and he ain't had one yet in the three and a half years he's owned the club.
The whole idea is as daft as a brush!

| Mick Hogan in sh[ii[/ite-stirring shocker.
We all know that the relationship between Lenegan and Hogan fell apart when he was leaving - I'd imagine Sale RU are the last club on earth Wigan would do any kind of deal with given the very recent past - especially a deal as bizarre as this.

| This is either a load of rubbish or it's true in which case it is very, very worrying indeed.
As others have said why would RL want to showcase one of the best wingers in the world in another sport? Pat's range of skills and athletic ability put him in a completely different class to any RU winger. Whilst it would be amusing to see Pat expose the gulf in class that remains between RL and RU it is not good at all for Wigan or RL for Pat to be in a potential shop window.

Exactly, this could go (if true) the same way as what happened a few years ago. I was quite young at the time so I may losing some details in recollection, but, didn't we let Tuigalmala, Robinson, Connolly and Henry Paul go to Union for the off season one year then soon after all 4 ended up jumping codes soon after on a (at the time) permanent basis.

| I can't help wondering if Mick Hogan has now realised that there's more to life than money.
You get the impression he's barely stopped thinking about Wigan since the first morning he arrived at Sale and the reality of what he'd done hit him in the face like a brick.

Could this be possible? why RU? Surely we'd play Pat in the 20's to get match fitness?'"

| Maybe Sale want to play Richards in their "on the road" game at the Reebok to try and get some Wigan RL fans to the game.

| Has Richard's ever played RU before? I can't see him going as he has another 4+ weeks to go yet before he is fit enough anyway. Seems a hairbrained idea to me if it is true. - Can't see it happening to be honest.
