Tragic news indeed. Stark reminder of what the lads put their bodies through for a living, or even just the chance to do it for a living. I like the 17th minute idea. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, but what actually happened to the poor lad?

What terrible news--so, so sad!
Our sincere condolences and prayers go out to all his family, close friends, team-mates and colleagues at the Giants during this distressing period.
Not forgetting his young opponents who similarly must be really shaken by the tragic events.
You all have our deepest sympathy!

So sad at such a young age, cannot imagine the heartache that all involved are feeling right now. Deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends, The Hudds giants and the Salford lads who will no doubt be affected by this tragedy

Don't know the details of the injury, but I would guess that Ronan suffered for seconds, minutes or a few hours at the most. However, his family, friends, team-mates and Salford players (particularly the other player involved) are likely to be affected for the rest of their lives. My thoughts are with them all.
