Sorry -not trying to appear thick here (easier said than done I hear you say!!), but are you saying that Premier Sports - which I believe would cost an addtional £7.99 per month to SKY subscribers (on top of any other charges) - will be free to all Virginmedia customers?



And by Virginmedia do we mean cable TV (and does that count from basic package upwards?).....or would same be true for internet subscribers?

Like it says above, there's nothing official yet. At the moment you can't even buy a subscription to Premier Sports though a Virgin box (I know there are ways around it but that's not the point) and apparently Virgin are in negotiations to bring the package to it's subscribers. Word on the street is that it will be free - but who knows - it may possibly be the same deal as Sky are offering. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Sooo.....IF they do offer free premier sports and anyone wants to change over, let me recommend you and I'll donate the money to LISA (at the moment its £50 per person).

I would only think it would be 'free' if you subscribe to the XL package on Virgin, can't see them giving it away if not on XL at least.

Don't bank on it Fred, they charge me £22.50 for Sky Sports

wel i am on sky, an quite happy yo remain on it, however if virgin do get premier sport as part of their package, then i will seriously consider switching, have to say i have had premier sport last season at a cost of 6.99 per month, what fantastic value it was, 5 live nrl games, and this season even better we have our very own league on.

Just been reported that talks between virgin and prem sports have broken down,it seems virgin media wanted them as a stand alone package,(as sky sports and sky movies) but prem sports wanted them to be included with current packs.(therfore reaching a wider audience) so it looks like we on virgin will have to wait a while longer!zzzzzzz.
