Dont take Mr Grumpy on, hes not in a good frame of mind atm, Im not really either for the same reason, but I dont let other matters stop me doing what is required.

He never has and never will agree with sponsership unless theres a charity involved, he doesnt mean any disrespect though for those of us who did the walk, I only asked people who were Leigh fans to sponser me anyway. They knew why we was doing the walk and wanted to help the club.

Just to say we do have people who help other than committee members, and with all the new members etc, at the AGM Im going to ask for more committee members to be elected.

Its not good when a bloke who got off his backside and raised over £5k for the club is driven from doing it again.

Well done Ste, I understand the pain you were/are going through - a lot of what I have been motivated to do is also for a lost parent who loved our club, our club that meant so much to him.

Its these deep emotions that will keep us alive for the generations to come.

We need a united way forward to succeed, whichever path fans choose to support and do their bit within we are doing it for our clubs future.

Well that comment (begging) is a great one to come out with thats going to encourage people to sponsor in the future if we ever needed to do one again i can see the comments now you can sod off even Lynda's husband thinks its begging unbelievable !!

My comment was specific to sponsorship for doing something unpleasant , I only agree with that for a genuine charity , but Leigh centurions are a business , if I said I wanted you to sponsor me to do the London marathon for my company , would you sponsor me ?

No you suggested companies already with a connection to the club , which essentially means sponsors , ie those companies already putting their hands in their pockets ,



My point being just like asking the same fans to contribute more and more isn't what is needed , asking the same companies to contribute more and more also isn't the way forward



What you will tend to find is ' selective hearing ' when events are being publicised

I eagerly anticipate Lynda's KPI measurements from LISA, backed up with all the mandatory RAG reports, graph's and pie charts

This 'begging' comment aimed at TS who worked his ass off for LISA last year is unbelievably wrong.



Your general abrasiveness and dismissiveness of anything not entirely aligned with your own thinking is a force working in the wrong direction.



As the other half of a person driving to attract new funds do you and yours think it would be a little better to embrace the positivity and passion of folk who post on here rather than potentially snuffing it out by implying they are stupid or trolls or just slagging them off?



I, like TS, believe that LISA needs to make it clear what its mandate is and how important that is in order to take the fullest advantage of the current momentum. In the absence of that, I have still signed up but think you'd do better on Sunday if you had a very clear story to tell about what we do with the money.



Instead, every time someone says something you don't like, you shoot them down.



That is not leadership and, for the sake of this current push for funds, please pack it in (As you once, quite rightly, asked me to do) as NO GOOD CAN COME OF ANY OF THIS NEGATIVITY.
