Who wants the official version where we get any five from 20 of their first team squad every week and it could be difference ones every week what good does that do us btw

Sorry Linda but where does it officially say we will be having 5 dcs every week. What ste is proposing is not much different to the way it has been in the last two years. That's ok by me. I'm annoyed but i am seeing amongst the rants people saying the statement says this or means that when it just doesn't.







What made you change your tune derick ?

I know we have told them how we want it to work but how long will it be before that gets abused?

I've been in a service area launch night at the jjb a few year back . Wane took the mick out of leigh all night . iwe even paid over the odds for a signed Leigh shirt so as to save the club face. He doesn't like Leigh one bit

It doesn't matter a jot if a Wigan player is U23, if they are a regular member of Wigan's first team squad then they will not be coming to Leigh on DC or loan terms. Guaranteed.



Sending a Wigan first team player to Leigh is not going to be in our interests, and very unlikely to be Wigan's interests - unless they're returning from injury, in which case why would we want them anyway?



People talk about us losing our independence, yet it's perfectly clear we have a full and equal say on every decision that is made. Would anyone like to dispute that?



Having said that, we're now moving very quickly in to self-fulfilling prophecy territory, where those who are saying we're going to become a feeder club are now playing an active part in ensuring that we do, by either stopping attending and / or by putting around negative and factually incorrect arguments based on fallacy and supposition.



Because attendances are falling, at an accelerating rate, our club will soon be finished and quite frankly this town no longer deserves them.

how can we be independant if we have a say on a decision about our team? What if Leigh disagree who has the last word? There are various partnerships with names one is parasitic another is simbyosis which one is Leigh in?

I disagree with this partnership but I'm gonna stick around & see where it leads to before deserting OUR club well said MW.

We are independent, because Wigan can make whoever they like available for DC (within the terms set out by the agreement) but Leigh do not have to accept any of them.



Anything that happens will only happen if BOTH Leigh & Wigan are happy with it. We are independent because Wigan cannot make decisions for us.

Let's wait and see what happens.

Why did we not have a fans forum prior to this release because so far the club has been open with us all.

I can't help but feel that this issue is being used by a few vocal 'fans' as their excuse to walk away from the club, something they'd do eventually anyhow.

Nik, explain how 2 months ago it was announced " No partnership " , then ' Partnership signed ' ?

The big 4 provided themselves with a platform to operate within the wider RFL rules on partnerships, yet in a fairer manner than the full scope of the rules are providing.



Why would that agreement have been put in place if not to allow said clubs to engage in a fairer and more limited partnership system?



There is a possibility that the only reason that Fev and Halifax haven't entered in to similar partnerships is that they can't find a SL club willing to agree to the terms. Wigan have and that should be to their credit. Of course, this is speculation and should be taken as such.



The situation has changed, and I would expect any right minded BoD to reconsider their position when situations change.



The biggest problem here has been communication. If we had stated early that we wished to push for and participate in a fairer partnership system, then we would have saved a lot of anguish later.
