I think the programme should have lots of good material - surely nothing like this has ever happened to the club in all of its history. I am looking forward to hearing from the fan(s) who made it down there. What an experience!

Leigh made their arduous trek to the south of France worthwhile as they beat Limoux 32-20.



The Centurions did not reach their destination until 4am on the morning of the match after an 18-hour journey by train and coach from Folkestone, forced on them due to their flight being cancelled due to the volcanic ash coming from Iceland.



But there was little sign of fatigue as they raced into a 10-0 lead inside 14 minutes.



Tries from Dave Alstead and Steve Maden and goal from Mick Nanyn put the visitors in control but tries from Maxime Herold, Bastian Almacha and Russell Bussian, along with two goals from Phil Ramage turned the game on its head as Limoux established a 16-10 lead.



However, Leigh gained their second wind and they secured their fourth-round win thanks to second-half tries from James Taylor, Mike Morrison, Ricky Bibey and Nanyn, who took his goal tally to four.

Just got in from a work call-out and then scrolled through this thread in order from page one onwards. Wow I got excited just reading all the posts. Twitter, sky, internet radio, just what I was doing for the Toulouse game.

Must say that this is a BIG, BIG win for our team. When I got to us being down at half time I didn't think that it would be physically possible for the lads to come back.

I remember at Leigh Grammar School as a 11 or 12 year old newbie bowling to you in the nets on an Open Day one weekend trying to drum up customers. You were really old at least 18!!! and you were the Head Boy!!! :O)



I also remember being told by the rugby teachers, Ted Elleray (fantastic teacher he really looked after me) and Manfred Wilkinson, that you were playing for Lancashire at full back and we watched it on TV.



Fantastic days and good memories.
