in getting their side of the story out quickly and not leaving the fans to make up their own version. Which side is correct remains to be seen (and I suspect it will be Leigh). If Joe has signed a contract his comments to the press were very naive.

It really is a shame that when we get some good news and some publicity then it always seems to backfire.Its almost as if we are cursed!!!



My opinion from our recent results at leigh and the general lull is that we need to replace old for new at the club and i aint talking about the coach.It is the same in any business, when you reach a plateau sometimes it works to make a change as new ideas and enthusiasm can make the difference.this is my opinion only of course.

False economy to not predict the future and make the changes now IMO.

If a bloke signs a contract, its not unreasonable to expect the same will go ahead and to announce it to the world. You wouldnt think, 'oh hang on, he might deny it next week'.



Perhaps we should have waited another month and let folk carry on moaning about Timbucktoo signing all and sundry whilst we're sat doing nowt, and then wait until he's converted his first penalty to announce who he actually is.



Yes we could be critical of previous incidents but be honest with yourselves here, what would you have done if you had a piece of paper with a blokes signiture on it confirming he'd be playing for your club?

Should you say something to someone, albeit say to the Leigh Journal or Leigh Reporter, about not going to Wigan to buy a pie after having signed a contract with Sarah Lynns to buy a pie, and someone a few thousand miles away in your home town asked you if you had bought a pie from there instead of a Waterfields pie, would you having said that expect it to be news at the other side of the globe ?

Having read my previous post again I don,t know lol but I am sure the club announced this in good faith. Having said that c u tomorrow.

I know what you mean Frank but I think the statement goes a little deeper than that. He is quoted as saying,



“All I know is that I’ll be playing for Lavington this week.”



Unless I am missing something, if he has signed for Leigh he can't turn out for Lavington on Sunday. I guess if he plays for them on Sunday we will know where he stands.

What shambolic behaviour? Surely, getting the player's signature on a contract is a pretty sound basis on which to carry out player recruitment.
