I'd like to see somebody succeed at sabotage, kind of what is happening at the minute really.

Quite apposite, regarding the events of this morning.

Last night's first half performance was almost [irope-a-dopelike[/i. Let Stains put loads of pressure on our line, then...bang. Repeat this twice more, and the fight just sapped out of Stains.



To be honest, I couldn't care less that we didn't put them to the sword. We just kept them at arms length, without even getting into 4th gear, let alone 5th. That's all we needed to do. No need for a cricket score, or a nilling. Let's leave that for the kids playing Top Trumps. Stains knew they were thrashed.



Job done.

Yes the score flattered Saints. They were well and truly battered in all aspects.

What likely kept the score lower was the adoption of early tackle Sandow kicks. Around had a dozen on the third tackle and a one or two from Ratchford when Sandow dissappeared (more game management).

A very unusual tactic from a Wire team.



We purposesly gifted Saints so much early possession and invited them into a battle of attrition.

KC wrongly understanding what his "lions share of possession" really meant.

I thought that was a very NRL esque performance.



Defend well, quick line speed with 3 sometimes 4 in every tackle, basic exit sets, slowing the game down when in control. Very very professional performance, something i think we should more often.

Getting a good start in games is useful when you get enough daylight between the teams to start trying moves for vital end of season games.

The SKY commentary team mentioned several times that Luke Walsh wasn't playing. At one point, Eddie added "Yeah, and Makinson and Percival and errr..." Funny that no one then chipped in to say Wire were missing Russell, Penny, Sims, Westwood, Hughes, Dodds...

I can't bear the commentary, I put sound on mute. I did try listening to the radio but the commentary on that was ahead of the pictures so it's "the sound of silence" for me!

Saints have signed Frank the wrecking ball!

Ouch.

Feckin good signing that. He must be their marquee.

Frank Spencer would be a good signing for Saints at present.

Could be wrong, but i'm sure magic weekend v cas is the only game rhys evans has missed this season. It makes a massive difference when he plays, even if some fans still need convincing that he's a good player.

After attending the game then watching the game back I made point of watching the the build up.. All that came out of Hemmings mouth was how Saints have this hold over us in Super League.. How they always turn up against Wire and how he wouldn't be surprised to see them turn us over.. Valid points ? Possibly .. But when we took control in game he then started to bemoan Saints injury problems... Just like he did when we beat Wigan..

It used to annoy me but now I love it..

Not if you believe the rumours. He's taking Travis Burns's wages apparently. He's not the player he looked like he might become and wasn't wanted at Canberra. He only moved there because the Roosters didn't want him and released him. He's not been on stellar money in the NRL and we're not competing with anyone for his signature.
