Knew about this ages ago. Frees up room on the cap and quota for Hodgson. I expect Mathers, when he isn't at fullback, to become a utility three quarter.

As I said before earlier this week, this is sad news. I was gutted when Fa'afili left (never get rid of a scorer), but Hicks has repaid Cullen's faith in the decision. Whoever takes Hicks' place in the side, has big boots to fill.

Sad news, I'd say he has one of highest and most consistent performers over the last 3 seasons. Chris you will be truly missed

I will be surprised if another club don't try and keep him in SL.

Do you really think so? He is a decent winger who knows how to finish. There have been periods during his time here where he has had stick.

I know what you're saying but he was instrumental in Wire winning the Challenge cup so i can understand why some people would think this, plus he'll be in Wires history for good now.

henry fa'afilli copped the same stick aswell and im pretty sure he was as consistent as hicks in the scoring of tries if not more, yet dean gaskell who scored 2 tries all season was loved!!

Superb player, but it seems to me our Wingers are getting better and better year by year! I know Williams will probably never ever by as flash or consitant as Hicks but he's an able replacement for me
