| I said at the time that it was a good deal for Warrington getting rid of Gleeson and it has proved to be the case. He has always been overated imo and has looked poor for Wigan so far. Warrington have moved on and look better without him.

Fully agree with you there, I think grix may have found his position, lets hope him and Bridge both stay injury free now.

Wrath about what exactly ? You mean because i simply stated that i thought we hadn`t strengthened the right centre position after selling the best right centre in the country in Martin Gleeson and replacing him with a player that was relatively unproven at centre ?
Chris Bridge at right centre could turn out to be a master stroke by Tony Smith and as a supporter of Warrington i hope this is the case and he goes on to achieve what Martin Gleeson did in the game and more. Its early days yet so lets see how he goes over the next couple of years, its best not to judge players based on a handful of games in a certain position.
I gave an opionion, it doesn`t mean my opinion is right, everyone has different opinions on different things, overall Chris Bridge is going well and long may it last.

I think Gidley may take exception to the best right centre comment.

| Quote Mark="Mark"Which is exactly what you did last week Rob.'"
I was referring to Bridge`s poor defence last week against Hull for the Danny Tickle try and his general passing where i have seen him throw passes behind players before whether thats been at stand off or centre etc. His defence when tried at full back was ropey at times as well hence why i referred to his defence for that Tickle try, he has also pulled off some very good tackles which to me says when he puts it in he can defend but he has these casual moments when he doesn`t put it all in which can result in points against you and it can be cruscial in tight games.
The team was solid last night all over the pitch including Chris Bridge, with a long run at centre we will find out if this is his best position, he is looking good so far and like i said long may it continue.
Quote Mark="getdownmonkeyman"I think Gidley may take exception to the best right centre comment.'"
That should have said best english right centre and as we know Gleeson wasn`t a patch on Jamie Lyon either.

| whilst I like a gloat (and thats Gloat not Goat)as much as anyone this is turning very much into a Saints style "player leaves player is now crap" kind of thing...
Gleeson did play to his potential at Wires...he was clearly a shoe in for Great Britain centre every time throughout his wire Career......
but at the minute what we have done is Saints like in that we have got rid of a decent player and they have not been missed because of the form of their replacement...........
it would have been interesting had Chris Bridge not been ....ahem..... Irish ?
would he have taken Gleesons England spot...??...im not sure....

I've never really understood the 'Saints had his best years' talk. He was good for us, I think his surly demeanour rubbed people the wrong way, and took it as him being uninterested.

| Defencivly very strong, considering he was defending next to Lee Briers, and lining up against the big dopey mard-ar$e who like's to run at half backs, (Gareth Hock) They never looked like breaking us down!
Decent footwork, great upper body strength and pace, so i think as soon as we settle a back line, and get used to playing with each other, he will grow from strength to strength! (Here's hoping anyway)
