With your other creative force in his twilight year ( Cunningham ) you struggled for ideas on Saturday night.



I still think Saints will be in the top four-five come the end of season, as overall experience and quality of the majority of the Saints players will get them through.

The problem with the team performance began mid season last year and Longy made absolutely no difference to it. That is why we booed on Saturday: their performance then felt like a continuation of the dross they served up last season.

I said when watching they would start booing at 65 minutes but they surpassed themselves and started at 52 minutes. Shocking.

But when Sean Long comes out in the press mid season and says he's got absolutely no clue if he's coming or going tactically you have to worry. The boredom factor is annoying but when you look at the level of performance Saints have put in under Potter it's clearly not good enough.
