| I thought it interesting to hear people's favourite Wire vs Wigan memories. Having started watching Wire in the late 70's and witnessing the Wigan dominated era through the mid 80-'s to early 90's I always consider this our best derby. So often we were thwarted in semis and finals by Wigan at this time but occasionally we would get one over on them.
One of my favourite memories relates to such as win, the 23-12 victory at Central Park in the semi-finals of the Premiership Trophy in the 86/87 season. Despite being the usual underdogs in this fixture I remember a towering performance from Boyd and Jackson with 5 drop goals from Bishop. Of course we went on to win the competition. Happy memories.

| Playing the pies in the first round of the playoffs at the jjb.
Think it was cullens first season as coach.
The stand at wigan was ram packed with Wire fans on a friday night, the stand was literally bouncing. The atmosphere and noise we generated that night made the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.
I think we went down to defeat but the players, coach and fans gave it everything that night.
Superb

| World War 3 at Wilderspool. That was everything that was good about Wire v Wigan New years day derbys. The place was rocking.

We could have a favourite Nat Wood V. Wigan moment !!
The above dummy
The running round the stand after scoring
The intercept try in the play off

| Maine Road, New Years Day, Halton Stadium (where for the first time in many many years we went into a big game v wigan, and I expected us to win).
I'm sure there must be some good memories too, but the bad completely outweigh them.

What about that easy kick for touch at the jjb which never made it and led to us losing the game that we were destined to win.
I could have killed him for that
Top bloke on the whole though

| John Bevan hat-trick at Central Park in the Challenge cup early 70's. Think we won something like 24-17. Bev made Stuart Wright look stupid
