On that, can someone tell me why people think it's a good idea to not put any car lights on in this weather? People are idiots.

Light the beacons!

Thats one of my pet peeves. People putting on their car lights when its the middle of the day, say between 11am and 3pm. Why?

Because they drive a Volvo

a) some cars come automatically set up for DRL (Daytime running lights)

b) some people believe that they are safer (statisctically less collisions in some tests), though this was recently proved as in a new report.

c) some people (usually audi "bling" strips or BMW halo) think it looks cool for school.

d) force of habit for some people

I've spotted numerous drivers recently who feel they don't have to put their lights on when conditions dictate it as necessary. Such as one person driving along at 4am, in the dark, on a foggy morning.
