| I meant the products be branded in words rather than club badge
The original Red devils could be the brand and include Salford RLFC somewhere.
Those products show what can be done.

| Quote Chico="Chico"It would be very interesting to know what percentage of Salford supporters don't live in Salford.'"
Hopefully with a Multi Million Pound stadium planned adjacent to the M60. enabling a prospective 3 million population within easy travelling distance that percentage should drop? afer all Salford will have a finely tuned marketing strategy

| I would suggest a decent supply of actual team shirts in all sizes for both sex's and for both ome and away shirts to be stocked.
An option of discount for buying both shirts at the same time would i'm sure generate interest from fans on here.
I would suggest that a decently designed and made polo would fly out too for those who prefer not to wear the team shirt.
Maybe a de4cent idea for what would and wouldnt sell could be gleaned if when the seasontickets are sent out the club sends out a pre paid envelope and a bit of a questionaire with some tick choices as to what you'd be interested in buying.
I'm sorry but if the fans can come up with decent ideas why can't the people who areactually paid too do so? Manchester has a thriveing student population and i'm pretty certain a fair few must be doing some type of marketing courses surely the club could approach the universities about haveing some involvement and thus gain the benefit of some more youthfull left field approaches to this.

| With the logo(s) and branding being discussed I may as well throw in my opinion that the badge/logo that we've had since becoming the reds is rubbish. A rebrand is in order in my opinion, maybe approriate to link in with the stadium move if we can wait that long.

Costs money that I'm guessing we don't have.

as others have said on here sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate, get the printing sponsored by allowing an advert for the printing firm on it, maybe a local printing firm would like to come on board as a partner and support this, surely we need to be a little creative in how we advertise and how we pay for it.

| Hi Shed Head
I teach on the Wirral and due to geographical traditions have had to teach Yawnion. Last season I spent a thoroughly dismal afternoon at Edgley Park with my Year 8 rugby team watching sale and newcastle kick the ball to each other for 80 minutes.
Having booked the tickets I am on their data base obviously, and I have had 10 text messages from the bar stewards so far this season trying to get me to go again. Now that's what I call having a go at marketing. How they get 10,500 in each week to watch that is beyond me. The most entertainment was watching the fat kid in my team return from the burger van for the 13th time and trying to guess what he was bringing back this time.
I also think we are missing a trick. Who are our major shirt sponsors? Where is our new ground (chuckle, nudge, nudge wink, wink say no more!) going to be? Shouldn't we tap up the Trafford centre for a FREE stall in one of the main malls?
The devil to make a reappearance in all marketing strategies please!!!!!!!!

Who sponsors Us and Sale Dolphins why the MEN, so this should be part of the sponsorship deal, in reality it costs the sponsor nothing but gets away from the empty spaces, could even have it pop up on the MEN website. Just a thought.

I work so close to the ground its unfair.
It's extremely well run. We need to get them in as advisors.
(And I wish I could go to the Crown, the OLd Vic [my local at work, or the Armoury befoe a game!!!!!!!!!!).

Aye, some cracking pubs in Stockport - but Salford can boast The New Oxford, The King's Arms & The Crescent - a bit of a stroll to the Willows but worth the effort.
Incidentally, jumping the gun somewhat, anyone know of any decent pubs in the vicinity of Barton (planning years in advance)? My local knowledge only extends to the western borders of Eccles.

| Closest Holts pub is the The Grapes on Liverpool Rd Peel Green, used to be my local till we moved.St Mikes social club and the Unicorn both just up the road serving no doubt the usual suspects of the kep variety.
At the Irlam end of Barton Stretch, is the Golf club not sure about non members etc and then into Irlam there`s the Nags Head and the Sports/White Lion. And that my friend is about your lot.
