Looking on social media people are saying it shouldn't of been a penalty at the end. To be honest i only knew the rule when leeds played hull on thursday and a leeds player was penalized for passing the ball on the floor when tackled. Anyway it was justice for Griffins kick that wasnt given when it clearly was

the penalty was a disgraceful decision, really leaves a bitter taste in the mouth... but I can't justify our paper thin defence in that first twenty minutes. Strange game but you looked far better than in round 2 vs St Helens. Good luck for the rest of the year.

Balls. The rule change was for players not knowing they're held. He's lying on his front going nowhere with Tommy Lee holding onto his legs, knows he's held, gets up and legs it to waste a bit of time. Penalty all day long that.

I think it was a fair decision. Given the timing as well, escare was probably trying to kill additional time. Cas had a perfectly good try chalked off there 3 week ago, and lost 1 point, so to hear their coach make out theyre victims every week is a bit extreme.

While I don't like seeing any player pick up an injury there was nothing in the tackle, it was a perfectly legal brilliantly executed bell ringer.

From what I saw yesterday you can't discount Paterson staying in the 3/4ers but the real issue is the other wing when BJB is back, Johnson has all the pace but lacks something, likewise MCB is equally as fast but again his defense doesn't look as robust as it should so for me either Evalds or Griffin will get the nod. Pity about MCB as he would be immense outside Paterson if only he could sure up his defense.

M.R. the thing we seem to forget is that MCB had only played a handful of games before he came to us. Opposition teams probably know now that his one on one defence is not brilliant. It's now up to him and the coaching team to go away and work on this.

Saying that you can have the best defensive technique in the world and be made to look hopeless if the teams defensive structure isn't quite right. Personally I think both sides need some work but we are improving.

From my point of view the glass is certainly half full after all games excepting the St's game.

The problem is these slow-motion replay's can make things appear far worse than they actually are. For instance they can deceive you into thinking a committed defender has more time to pull out. You have to judge incidents like this in real time.

It's always going to be a consequence of the play in RL as a HB. They expect to take the hit as they are delaying the pass until the last second. All HB's accept this, and indeed, will judge themselves on it. The tackle was fair, just a tough one. I'm sure Carney isn't bothered by it and will be right as soon as he's healed.

There's no way he made a mistake.

I'd have been gutted had we conceded one like that but he grounded the ball in a tackle and didn't then play the ball.
