Would Salford have a case of suing the RL?

The reason of my thinking on this is that speaking to a player under contract with no permission from his club is obviosly illegal. So the fact that the RL allow tony smith to be warrington coach and England coach means he can "discuss tactics" with myler at anytime he wants while he's on england duty.

It would be the second time its happened to salford with coley/noble, only difference was he was in the final year of his contract where as Richie is coming upto that.

Any thoughts?

‘Tapping up’ is a naughty business, but how do we know Salford [ihaven’t[/i given other clubs permission to talk to Myler?

If they have any ambition they shouldnt !!

If they have no money, they should.

How many people think that if we do cash in on the likes of Myler and Turner that we will actually do anything with the money. We will just waste it on more 3rd or 4th rate aussies who fail to deliver and we still won't build the stadium.



How we can have any confidence in JW and the current board is beyond me? He has been at the club for over 20 years now and we're still in the same state as when he took over.... under achieving!!!!



The Myler money.. if indeed that's the way it goes will disappear as it always does and we will be no better off either playing wise or stadium wise!

yeah he does. The money that we get for Myler if he does go, will go straight back into the boards pockets, then a fraction of that will be used to sign some average players. This club has no ambition, a bit like Bolton in the premiership! Their board dont like spending money, they got a big sum for Anelka but hardly any of that money was put towards new players! Even when we made the playoffs, the season after should of been a big push! Splash extra cash and bring some quality in. Did we? Was enough done by management to take us up a level? Not enough money is spent by this club in order for us to step up a level! Is enough done by the club to find more backers or investment?

If we dont have the money we dont have the money, better having a salford than winning a challege cup and combusting infront of our very eyes like sheffield eagles did all them years ago, we all look back at that and say its a massive low low point in being a salford fan but would anyone swap places with them?.



Without the board we'd have been a swinton or a oldham a long time ago, hopefully we have enough money in the pot to secure the services of our top players for the future.

With the new stadium on coming (hopefully) it will give our players a stage to perform on.

If you can introduce circa 7k new paying fans to the club, perhaps we'll be able to spend a little more on players etc

If you can't sort this simple task, probably advisable to keep schtum
