What I meant was if Crusaders and Salford were in the Championship this season you would have a season like last. Mediocre and not quite up to it when the going got tough.

Yes don't forget Haven. No matter what squads are assembled and how much is spent by others they always seem to be there or thereabouts.



And contrary to popular belief I watch Championship rugby because I like rugby league, the fact Widnes have been on two weeks on the bounce is pure coincidence. I will be here next week talking about the Batley-Thunder match.



I also try to see the merits of all leagues and don't slag off other league's just because my team aren't in it.

On paper last season we should have been out of site by half time against them in both games.



As it was it was the other way around at their place and they even managed to win at ours. Always hard buggers too.



They have that workmanlike attitude that only makes me like them more too. Like the place as well. Nice and relaxing apart from the game.
